Cerebral Cathedral

Cerebral Cathedral

Pick my brain,
I cannot sleep.
Muse, my bane,
O', hear me weep.

I’m insane,
now, not a peep!
It’s quite plain
I’m in too deep.

Dark disdain
I watch it creep.
Twilight came,
dire death doth reap.

Inhumane;
we’re all just sheep.
Who’s to blame;
our souls to keep?

Nope.
Because of my PTSD and night terrors I sometimes don't sleep for two--three days at a time, Cherie.
Many people think I have nightmares because of the things I write.
Actually it's just the opposite.
I write because of the nightmares I have. It's a purging of the soul, if you will.
Thanks for reading!
