Chess

the complex game of love

Chess

I've played two chess games of love,
One took me a year waiting for you to play.
The other was after the two-year battle against each other,
It’s still going on as of now, we sit here currently no moves and nothing to say.
While the game may be at a standstill, I have my next move,
For once you were the white queen so pure and my only light.
Now you have turned teams and joined the other side,
Becoming black, which contains my depression and dark thoughts, no longer white.
But for what I am about to say will make that change,
I'm quitting this second game, going to bounce like a trampoline
For this game, I am over and on to the next,
That’s due to me finding a new queen!
