Poem -

Two paths

nothing left, or nothing right

Two paths

Lost time is never found,
Memories can't be forgotten,
Words can't be unsaid,
Your promises can't be put back together.

But my imagination,
Wishes,
Dreams,
And hopes can still wonder.

That maybe if all these things were opposite,
My smile would still possibly glimmer,
With you my love are now gone.

A hole in my chest where my heart belonged,
A stab in the back where you once were carried,
A pinky promise that when touched made me feel unparried.

These my greatest tragedy,
Right next to the words "I love you more",
In due time my words were right and so.

I sit here at my desk drinking, smoking, and thinking about my miserable life.
That I can choose a path of two that you left me.

I can go left where nothing is right,
Or go right where nothing is left.
Either way, I'll carry our burden knowing I used to be happy...
