Christmas Story

The wonderful story ever told
That’s thousand of ages old
Retold countless of times
But still sounds new at all times 

Of one defying nature's way
And concieved not through a natural way
But was given birth to by a virgin
In poverty his life was to begin

A family who can little afford
They the heavens did not ignore
Through them came the Lord instead
There was neither an inn nor a bed

He was born in a stable with donkeys
With little or no resources
And then not in a crib did he lay
But there in a manger he lay

A cold winter night never to be forgotten
Of the son of God begotten
As shepherd laid in the field 
And the angels revealed

To them God’s gift to mankind
One never heard before time
There sang the first carol
As the angels in their fine apparel

Stood and proclaim the good news 
The Magi too got to hear the news
And they saw the star en route  
That led them to where they stooped 

Their worship and gifts they gave
To the one His promise was made
Sent to the World out of love
To mankind as a gift, no doubt

To reconcile God to the world
And bring peace and love to the world!
