City Parks Light Up

Magical music in the parks of New York

They take you to a fairytale dream as snowangels mark their wings on the grounds

Of candy canes and sugar plums, homemade cookies and breads

A time to share these treasured moments, a glistening winter wonderland

With shiny tinsel on the trees and each branch it wears a bow and rope

Draped upon the fireplace is another garland of gold

And each stocking is filled with goodies for little Joe and Hope

While we take our time and look out our windows we see

Children in the park building snowmen and making forts

A snowball fight it flies across and hits me in the knee

What better way to spend our time then watching children

In the snow with giant snowflakes landing on their tongues with flurries in the air

A holiday season none compare its a time to share in the big apple

In the winter time the parks light up and trees fill the air
