Cliffs of Dover

Cliffs of Dover

Cliffs of Dover like brittle glass
Battered by waves incessant pass
Offering briny tears it cannot weep
Imbued alabaster foamy sweep

Crashing ashore, dunes crumble
Fierce skies resoundingly rumble
Lightning strikes a restless sea,
Ignited ritual churning lee

Rocks lament a heartless disdain
Alas heedless an ardent refrain
Forevermore to meekly procure
Enchanted by mystical allure

Brackish ruin seawaters bear
Solace tis naught easy to spare
Stoic, crags infinitely reside
For even vexed stone must abide
