Confession

Confession

It isn’t right, I know
to be here thinking of you
hoping that when you come
that you will notice me
sitting here, waiting, wanting.

But when I see you it is like
another person, taking over inside me
like the sun burning down passionate rays
and Romeo’s sword melted in Juliet’s heart.

I know it isn’t fair to those who love you
but isn’t it also unfair to my love
locked inside my soul?

I think up things and plan the future
sharing all of me with all of you
Lennon says,”Happiness is a warm gun”
and, yes it is.

But in a moment’s thought back to reality
I think again
and truth stands alone
consuming my thoughts

And then again, do I see
It isn’t right, I know.

Haha! Thanks for gently pushing me to go outside my comfort zone.  I’m glad you like it. That means so much to me as I adore your writing. I think I posted this twice still trying to navigate around the site
