Construction Zone

Haiku Runoff Freestyle

Construction Zone

I’m a fixer upĀ
borderline condemned beforeĀ
to livable now

I’m comfortableĀ
working on final touches
what a differenceĀ

For all who gave upĀ
on me and my past baggageĀ
I cannot blame youĀ

Your desire to quitĀ
really spoke volumes to meĀ
but it still hurts nowĀ

My heart, mind andĀ soulĀ
are no longer made from strawĀ
nor are they from sticksĀ

My remodeled lifeĀ
has slowly,Ā one by one beenĀ
constructed with bricksĀ

TOUGH
