Could Christmas Save Me

Could Christmas Save Me

I am down and yet I still believe in heaven and earth and fantasies

Of princesses and white and shining armors and love can I be saved from what I do not believe

Christmas is a time of year we celebrate with shoppers buying everything and music playing

And don't forget the fellow in the red suite with the long white beard, called Santa

I try so hard but my heart is not filled with the same thing as others for what I feel

Is empathy for christ our savior and the birth of Jesus is the inspiration for me

I do not need gifts among the bottom of the tree wrapped up so fine with ribbons

What I want to feel is the spirit of the gift of life that has been given with all its grace

And the glory of the angels sing for a baby in the manger is the one I so believe

Can Christmas save me from the hum bug of all the shopping and material things

I think so because, I BELIEVE!

very pleasant nancy!

it amazes me how something sacred can become so commercialized! even church now days! big money in preaching, super churches! easter is no different!

everything holy is being warped, twisted, definitions are being compromised, "sin" is becoming acceptable!

you hit a nerve! ill stop though!
thanks for sharing this!
