Daddy (dedicated to my loving father Umberto R. Tosi)

For many years I misunderstood. 

I didn’t question the things I heard like I should.

I was hurt, angry and confused.

I believed the accusations that you were being accused.

I know I expected too much of you

and my ideals at the time were too high too.

It wasn’t fair 

and sometimes I acted like I didn’t care.

You've always been forgiving and patient.

Your love is constant and consistent.

I remember our wonderful walks 

and how much I enjoy our talks.

You’ve set a great example to have a positive mind

and to be understanding loving and kind.

You’ve given me tremendous encouragement 

and inspiration.

You’ve held my hand through the darkness with 

compassionate dedication.

I have many upon many fond memories of being your little girl

and with each day more unfurl. 

I am blessed that you are my daddy and that you love me soo.

I carry you with me were ever I go.

You are fused within my heart.

My love for you will never part.

Thank you for being my wonderful father

and know that I love you.

There is so  much more I’d like to say but words fail me to convey

my love and gratitude for you will forever stray.
