Dancing in the Rain

Dancing in the Rain

The once bright sky suddenly darkens
As the once beautiful cloud blackens

The wind howled unconfined
As trees dances to the rhythm of the wind

While lightning flashes with aggression
The thunder grumbles and growls in affirmation

Mother Nature seems to be weeping
I dare not join her in  weeping

I have decided that no matter how hard she cries
I won't let a teardrop from my eyes

No matter what, I'm dancing in the rain

hey, Rose....just had to comment on how much I enjoyed reading this, it speaks to the reader of the eternal sunshine of the soul, despite the dark clouds and rain....besides, there is nothing more hopeful than a good steady outpouring in late spring....the mood you capture here is pure magic, an expressive, delightful read, cheers poet....talent galore

Hello Rose,

No matter what the plans of mother nature, don't allow her, or (any other), to rain on the parade, you have set into motion, (no matter how uredictabe mother nature or any other), can be. One thing (she won't be), is incompliance to our wants and desires, when they don't align with hers ..When she takes the low road, remain Content in your plans, to stay on the high road....You are the (Rose), that continue to grow through concrete and no one, has more influence over you then you. Sometimes life can be challenging and unprodictable within itself but your will power to always place your best foot forward, tends to out shine her rain.. No matter what her woes may be, (that day or any other), don't allow it to have any bearing on yours......Love this piece my friend...Jimmy.

Trust me...I have decided not to allow her or any other to rain on the parade...Sure your will to either be happy or sad lies in you...Thanks for your insighful and encouraging words...I'm glad you love my piece (I'm jumping)....Thanks so much Jim

No matter what, I'm dancing in the rain

The masterstroke of this poem is that final line; for a piece made up of heroic couplets to end with a single, solitary line is a powerful statement about the subject, the poem and the poet.

A beautiful piece...tinged with sadness and regret, but with a spine of iron determination running through it too.

Wonderful!!

My Dear Sweet Rose,

I love your thought, that no matter what, you will keep dancing in the rain.  Mother Nature cries out, but you honor her by not giving up hope, and tiptoeing through her tulips.  For, if we all could share in your determination, the world might see us, and follow suit.  A lovely, powerful write.

I love you,

Daddio xxx
