Darkness within

Slowly, at first, as the essence departs,
A new awakening, can be observed.
A feeling of freedom, is where it starts.
A future glimpsed, that is reserved.
Impatient, rushing to the light,
As liberty, of ones confinement begins.
Spread before, is scenes of delight,
However, a nagging doubt...about sins.
Pleasures, a plenty, await the soul,
Joyous, jubilation reverberates,
Senses overwhelmed, by this toll.
The afterlife, with us truly celebrates.
Chains of burning steel, lash out.
Wrap around and enslave the spirit,
Dragged down, to Hell, without a doubt!
Feel the suffering of the desperate.
Unnerving silence, gnaws at nerves,
Waiting for the beginning of the end.
Black sun creeps forth, which serves,
A beacon that illumes, what is darkend.
Deep within, there is an energy,
Swelling, expanding, to extreme proportions,
Filling bowels with overloaded negativity,
Leading to eye blinding distortions.
Blood boiling, anger fueling darkness,
Eating away at my righteous core,
Leaving a void of utter, contemptuous bleakness,
Never again to feel any amore.
Suffering, eternal torment, just deserved rewards,
Feeding off fear, sped on by deeds.
Painful prayers, preserved within dark wards,
In carnage, fueled hateful seeds.
Pin point, pilot light, searing bright!
Rip me from my dazed slumber?
People unknown, around do give a fright.
Saved...from what I can remember.
Afterlife, tantalising close to realisation.
Sigh of relief, another chance to redeem.
A second chance to avoid, eternal damnation!
Then again...is anything, as what it might seem?
