DEPRESSION

DEPRESSION

It's bulging eyes were staring
As it released a cloud of ink
I couldn't see what I was fighting
As I began to quickly sink

Pulling me down under
Into the depths of the briny sea
It's tentacles grabbed ahold
And wouldn't let go of me

I struggled and fought to break away
To come back up for air
But I was losing this battle
I had no strength to spare

It pulled and dragged me under
To the bottom of the sea
Dragging me to it's watery den
Of pain and misery

Wrestling in the depths of the briny sea
Struggling to survive
Strangled in the arms of depression
I'm fighting to stay alive
