Discontinue

The other day

I received

Something filled

With such irony.

A message was sent to me

Regarding a request they

So badly seek.

To stop creating what I am

due to the sadness it contains.

But what this person failed to find

In each poem I continue to write.

Is the truth and messages that hides behind

Each word and each verse

The meaning that each holds

As if I haven't made it bold enough.

Well to the person with the guts

That thought their opinion was

More important than my own

I would like to inform you

You are sadly wrong.

I enjoy what I put on the page

And if it is too sad for you to read

I ask of you please so nicely

To discontinue reading my poems

I will not stop for anyone.

What I write is not only for me

But for people who search for comfort

For the people who are so badly in need

For a beautiful reminder that they are not alone.

So I will continue to write what I want

And will not care if you like it or not

Because maybe someday

Someone out there will enjoy
