Do You Enjoy Your Work?

Do You Enjoy Your Work?

Definition of luck - someone who enjoys their work,
most of us bear it, unless you're retired like Kirk the Turk,
waking up in the morning, thinking: 'Do I have to do this?'
scrabbling for a crust, otherwise you're going to go bust.

I was lucky but just like a fool, I threw it all away,
my office was in a big house with a blue swimming pool,
we could have tea by the pool, didn't think I was a fool,
when the bad times ticked by, I was still able to fly.

The weather was always fair, even paid my air fare,
of course, inevitably, one or two 'pricks' here and there,
but no matter, the days of 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show,'
it was just a jump to the left and the fool fell into the pool.

You had your chance, so many and you just blew it,
next time, stick around, tough it out, man-up and don't quit!
