Dont be like me

I found myself loving all the wrong people and hiding things I really wanted. I was a people pleaser, but I was never pleased.
When I finally spoke my truths, I was silenced but my thoughts echoed the whole room. That was me, for a long time how I suppressed how I felt and smiled just to stay ..even as a hostage. If you find yourself there one day ?..breakaway before your wings get caught on fire. You're feelings matter, your opinions and if they can't validate them? then they're not worth fighting for anymore...because why fight for someone who can't fight to win. It's better for them to take a loss for you to take a win. I want to wrap you up in a blanket and protect you forever, and I hope you never fall, and I want to hold you till the end of time. I don't want anyone to break your heart. Please don't be like me and love all the wrong, don't cry in the bathroom of a hotel room and drown. Don't trust everyone because people will lie and say you slept with them when all you did was sleep in your bed ..with your innocence. Don't go drinking with him because he'll buy you every shot till, he gets a shot of you. I'm not proud of everything I've done and sometimes those memories get the best of me..but they're not me. I hope you don't hate me..sometimes out of anger I say that too. Don't be like me. Be everything and everyone you want to be but...not me.
