Poem -
A Dream
I dreamt you came to me again,
I saw your face so clear.
I dreamt I held you in my arms,
I felt your essence near.
I told you it was not your fault,
I said the blame was mine.
I told you how IÂ thought,
That it was not your time.
I cry each year around the date,
That you had ceased to be.
And wonder what you'd have achieved,
If I had set you free.
I can’t go back, I wish I could,
And breathe the life in you,
I can’t go back and make it right,
There is nothing I can do.
So I’ll wait until you come again,
To see me in my dreams.
My darling child I was too young,Â
For you to stay with me.

There are dreams that when we wake up we feel relief, but there are times that we wake up with sadness and we refuse to reality. The time never returns and what happened in the bad and the good you have to accept, the death of a loved one is one of the more difficult to assimilate things, dreams bring us closer to those beings, their presence is so strong that even awake you can feel, a little noise, a light that blinks or a curtain moving makes us believe that they are still with us.

I like to think that some dreams are a way of unconsciously holding onto memories that are always played out the same, never changing. Time stilled.
