Dry Ink

I have been isolated from the world in my own shelter
We were told there may be a dangerous virus in the air
So I did what I was told to be safe and keep my family safe
But now Twenty years later I am one hundred years old and I look
back to green fried tomatoes and the chicken flu
And I survived but many did not and I pray for them
Here I am writing my story of the past til my ink dries up
I shall always know we did the right thing at the right time
Cuz I still have the ink to write this very last line

It is the orthodox Sunday as we are so thankful and we have so many things to be thankful with our brave hearts and faithΒ
