Dusk

Dusk

Of all the things that could happen,
And events entwined in fate,
I sit alone on a park bench,
And to be used tonight as bait.

The group I am in hunts Vampires,
We journeyed to a different lair,
And cull the ones whilst sleeping,
Cowards we are, not fair.

One managed to glimpse my face,
But were powerless to actively fight,
I know they will come at me,
And bring with them their might.

Dusk approaches so slowly,
But the sun is about to dip below,
The quietness of the in-between,
There is only one way that this thing will go.
