Emily

Emily

I once saw fame ā€“
And put it in a drawer
Infamy stood over him

He stayed there until
Iā€™d well surpassed
My mortal self
And watched me be unwrapped

The letters made the words
That made the poems
That made me

Yet I already knew
Just who I was ā€“
And who I am ā€“

I am Nobody ā€“
Who are You
