Emily

Emily

I once saw fame –
And put it in a drawer
Infamy stood over him

He stayed there until
I’d well surpassed
My mortal self
And watched me be unwrapped

The letters made the words
That made the poems
That made me

Yet I already knew
Just who I was –
And who I am –

I am Nobody –
Who are You
