Escape the Television
You pull us in
You burn away our hours
Hold us comatose
- Within your sinister powers
The open prison cell
We willingly built into our houses
You have pride of place
All encompassing eye
So many channels and many show rubbish , Why ?
Are you benign technology
- Or silent jailer in the corner ?

My tv is mostly turned off. I watched the Startrek film last night and before that it was every Sunday while Line of Duty was running 🤣🤣🤣 Fab poem x

Had to pin this one Chris. My dad hated the tv, said it just vegetated the mind. A great write and the last line the icing on the cake “silent jailer” reminds me of the song “cosy prisons” by Aha analogue album. I love that album
