Ever So Alone

Ever So Alone

You whispered empty words of love
My entire life,
How did you let me suffer
Through endless agonies of strife
Alone?

You told me I could trust you,
Was my loving protector.
Until that day where through
My pain and suffering
You abandoned me forever.

I float on a blackened sea
Ever so alone
Where once a heart thrived
But was burned and blown
Away by you, unrevived.

It is a meaningless thought
To love in times of joy
If only to abandon in times frought
With demons learning to employ
Suffering on me.

Why?
