Evermore

Entangled in this spider web I find that I can not breathe
Though my heart keeps beating and I want to live
Maybe I can escape these feelings and maybe I can not
I keep getting more tangled and I am fighting for my life
The truth is always the hardest and the lies come so easy
But with you it was different until you beat me black and blue
See I am no longer a strong woman
I am weak in every way but I know that you will never touch me again that way
As I wake up from this nightmare I have a spider bite on my arm
But I also have the strength it takes to kick you out the door
And never look back but to climb the tallest mountain top away from abuse forevermore 
I was wrong to doubt myself as I truly am strong, strong enough to defeat this and begin a new 
Never to look back never ever anymore
