Poem -

Evil In Your Eyes

The fires flames tell a story of many
Many decades ago the native spirit would call to the sky
Telling of words man and evil must be set free
The eyes appeared each night in the sky and reflection in the heat of flame
Where dreaded paths of men came and butchered the innocent and hung them to dry in the scorching sun
No where to walk no where to run only the naked eye of the raven
Upon the heels of dried blood once victim now revenger
Let the red of the spear and the red of the heart spread across
These fields and mountain tops
where once we stand we shall never lay down again
Cherokee we be free from all evil in all eyes
For we see both at night and in the light of day
We see even better
