Eye Of The Storm

Eye Of The Storm

Silence, the eerie sound of nothingness,
Interrupted by a distant cry in these buildings mess,
I climb up out of my hiding place,
Blood starts to drain from my face.

My kitchen used to be here in front of me,
But water spurting up from pipes is all I see,
I try using logic but it's way too hard,
I think I see my kitchen in the neighbours yard.

Helpless, I am standing in my house all alone,
I cannot contact my family on my cell phone,
The wind must of knocked the towers down,
It may have also removed the whole damn town.

I cannot begin to clean up I need to wait,
I'd better return to my hiding spot before it's too late,
The eye of the storm gives a false sense of security,
Hoping the other side of the storm doesn't consume me.

The first bit of wind comes and it's numbing,
A rapid increase in wind I know it's coming,
A low system moving through is the storm source,
Seventy, Eighty, Ninety knots, GALE FORCE!

Dramatic write to emphasise the strength of mother nature !

A turbulent creation to show what our planets weather system can deliver. May all those who have suffered from the ravages of violent storm find a path back to stability as soon as possible.

Great !

All the best to you !  :)
