Faith

Faith

Where were you faith?
When there was no food on my plate and I went to bed hungry trying not to shed a tear.
Kept checking the fridge knowing there was nothing there.
Where were you faith when the rent was overdue, moms stressed praying something come through. Don't tell me some sad story how you didn't notice we were this close to getting that eviction notice.
So tell me faith how long we suppose to wait.
Is it when we die and see them pearly gates?
We go to church to get saved put money in the collection plate yet we haven't ate.
Is it because I'm black faith?
I rather you keep it real with me instead of telling me I lack faith.

I really am feeling the disappointment and disillusion you are experiencing..I know how it feels to pray but not get the answers I want..or the help ....but maybe Gods answer isn’t the one we want to hear and that’s sometimes the hardest thing to accept.Dont let it break you though my friend..you have faith ...and so do I...that  in some way your faith will be rewarded.A great, emotional write ..thank you for sharing this living experience with us
