Fall Out

The bystanders not so innocent

Have seen enough carnage for today

The media mob moves on to the next thing

Emergency crews begin to drift away

The sanitation brigade marches in
And commences to clean up the mess

How the victim got up that wall
Is anybody’s guess

The forensic team is baffled
Was he pushed or did he fall?

Or perhaps he chose to jump
And put an end to it all?

Tragedy upon more tragedy
Sometimes more than we can bear

Like Humpty Dumpty all down and out
Scrambled and broken beyond repair
