Poem -

Father

Father

I was your first born

your eldest daughter

respected you

but now don`t feel I ought ta

So looked up to you

put you on a pedestal

learnt who you really were

then I watched you fall

I felt alone and hurt

as you fell from grace

for I had loved you so

now you`re gone without a trace

All you did was lie

and walk away from me

now I know no trust

I use my soul to see

I hold my head up high

for I've done nothing wrong

just wanted your love

and to feel I did belong

Turned my back on you

Look for love else where

I will learn to smile again

with those who really care

Even the ones we love and trust, they can hurt us so much....:(

AUTHOR WILLIAMS...

Lissie Bull,

I liked the entire poem, especially the concluding line which is as below. It is very simple and humble in its depiction and presentation. My five stars

I will learn to smile again

with those who really care

Even the ones we love and trust, they can hurt us so much....
