This life we live
This purpose we serve
It's all for a season
All for God's reason
We are born to die
We are compelled to fly
Sink or swim
Or live a lie
We are forced to love
In a world of hate
We are meant to set sail
Even though the waters don't abate
Our hearts were created to love
And experience pain
We only see the rainbow after our rain
We are born for this life
Despite all its strife
Amidst the exorbitant sadness
And all the arduous burden
Right in the center of all this madness
We are placed to generate joy
However unpleasant
We gave to forget the past
And focus on the present
We are called to preach peace
In the face of the lined up Armada
And realize the devil truly wears Prada
Desperately we cling to unadulterated truth
Even though we are surrounded by life's artifice
Knowing that honesty pays the ultimate price
The antiquated apocryphal we are daily told
Keeps us safe in our egotistical hole
We often deny the obvious truth
Our lives are not ours to keep
We are told that what we sow we are fated to reap
Yet we want to live this life
We aim to make it worth our while
Sufferings have desensitized our hearts
As we conclude it to be necessary parts
Pain is an inevitability
And we choose to live life with empathy
We fully live the saying
Life is what you make if it
To some its a cruel punishment
To others its a dreamed accomplishment
We evolve to survive our path
We live in a way to escape life's wrath
Only the fittest survive
This fight to the death called
Life...
