The Flight of Hope

Snow geese fly with grace, and beauty, the sky with its white, blue glow

Takes them to a new place, where they may land, and gives them hope

For their wings have fled so far, and so strong, now they need rest for home

Where they will be, on a lake surrounded by trees, and the peace

Of the sky, and the wind near their feet, they feel the moments of time

With every inch of the body, they mate, and bring a new family of glory

To our earth, so we may see, that life begins, and life sees us through

Let the young hearts of St. Jude Hospital, find hope and faith

Where cancer takes hold no more, and lets go, in the flight of strength

In every flight of hope, let there be a new snow

This poem is dedicated to all of the children at St. Jude's Hospital, may their flight through the cancer be gone and may they heal with heavens strength
