FOR LOLA
Yesterday I had to watch you
fall asleep forever,my darling girl
Not just my dog my best friend and companion
you really were, my world
How do I cope without you
we did everything together
The only compensation is
I have your sweet puppy,our little Bella
You were the best mother to your pups
really,the best dog I ever had
Everybody loved you, your loss I know.
will make many people sad
Just know I could nt see you in pain
I had to let you go
The hardest thing in life i ve done
it hurts more, than anyone will know
Goodbye Lola my beauty you ll never be forgotten
go run free like the wind
and know when my time on earth is up
we ll be reunited, my dear friend
A good friend of mine asked me to write a poem for
him, because he had to have his beloved dog put to sleep on Friday
she was only 5 but she had a fall and had snapped her spine
she was such a wonderful dog and constant companion to him
Lola was such a good girl

This is a beautiful and very kind tribute.
In fact, until I read the note at the end...it really did seem like you were writing about your own dog, Debs. The imagery is vivid and the whole thing so heartfelt, that it brought back memories of having to do the same thing, myself, last year.

My Dear Debs,
As you know, reading of the heartbreaking loss your friend suffered, broke mine too. I cannot imagine the pain of losing his dear little soulmate so early. I have tears in my eyes as I write these words, for to try and alleviate his now, is almost impossible. We can only surround him with our love and hope that a small portion of it is able to enter his aching heart. Knowing of all this, I have just written a poem for him which we are going to post now, called "Whatever Lola Wants", which I hope in the future, will bring some solace to his saddened soul.

Hi Deb, my heartfelt condolences#### a great tribute to a furry friend for life. sorry, i missed this one. I had to make a tough decision too with my own dog,, glad i made the right one.#### Lola is a native word for us means "grandma". she is so cute. Rest in peace!!!
