Poem -

Forgive me...

Forgive me...

Forgive me…
for plucking each tiny star
from its royal velvet quilt,
to place upon my tongue,
melting the midnight display.

But, I could not let them shine,
not brighter than your eyes,
not more luminous than your smile,
nor more golden than your heart.

Forgive me…
For swallowing the sunset whole,
for suffocating the raging storm,
and drinking all the oceans dry,
just for you to be;
my azure,
my tide,
my tempest.

Forgive me…
But, how many sunrises can I taste,
and how many moons can I throw
away into a black hole,
to find the universe that is you?

So, now I’m alone in the dark,
Where are you my love?
Why did you leave?
Please open your eyes;
to chase away the gloom,
to warm up my sky,
to light up my life.

…please forgive me…
