Forgiveness is something precious 
Something exceedingly rare
Always wished for by others
Though most people continue to glare

A smile thrown over a shoulder 
A nod whilst looking their way
A simple act of kindness
Can go such a long long way

Forgiveness is something precious
A fleeting, sort after look
A glance so quick and hapless
Easily wrongly took

A simple word of kindness
A small gesture or touch
A little bread, means quite well fed
A whisper, a nod, a touch

Forgiveness is a precious thing
Though wished for, rarely given
Some beg for years, and never get
That little slice of heaven

So next time that you think 
you may need to forgive
Have a small inkling or doubt
Say it loud, say it proud, and never doubt to,                                                                                            just forgive, forgive, forgive
