Forgiveness

Love yourself

Forgiveness

I puff out my chest.Β
Not in arrogance, but to let the light hit my heart.
Too many days and nights I’ve spent allowing these hollow walls to wail their disapproval of my every stepΒ
Too many stones and sticks have been anchored to my feet- by my own choosing no doubt.
I look to the sky,
and I do something so obvious,
so silly.
I forgive myself.
Let me allow this reprieve, this gift
Do not harbour this guilt
It is not yours to own, not any longer.
You are only human.
May this act as stepping stones to grow stronger.
I puff out my chest then wrap myself in my arms tighter.
I love you, this weary soul of mine.Β
I do not mind, that you are imperfect.
These blemishes look like constellations to me.
