Forty

Forty

At the age of forty
I am told
My face has wrinkles
I am getting old

Five years on
Goodbye thirty five
Year by year
I have managed to survive

Daily criticism
Just flows on
The nice compliments
Well and truly gone

My tolerance for hubby
Has grown super thin
Our chances of survival
Looking very grim

He is a mans man
We are like ships in the night
When we come face to face
All we do is fight

He likes to party
And enjoy the good life
No interest in spending time
With the kids and wife

He has an eye for the ladies
And gets drunk with his mates
He will never grow up
Its time he is shown the gateΒ
