Free Spirit

Someday I'll be free
From persisting alone inside
Deprivation's cold piercing downcast vein
Of anxious untapped tragedy
Too long fermenting in the rain
Strenuous, the strain so silent
ββIn a scape serene
But here the waves conspire
As though heaven is held
By the angels who fell
And the river flows against me
So sudden, the light is gone
And as only it can, the dark reflects
The abstraction of an enfeebled man
The ghost who let go, only to regret
Between the walls that bind me
Behind this mask I wear
There's a tortured voice that finds me
Accompanying the path I near
The beam's exposed, yet nothing grows
And in this heart I'll die alone
While clocks disrupt the flow in me
Tick-taunting my serenity
I wait for you, to let me free
So hear me now or never be
For cold's the shadow sweeping forth
With hands that join the gallow doors
It weeps my pain and spreads its cloak
To fall with me, into the void I go
When a dream becomes a death to mourn
And you watch it bleed before your eyes
Waiting for the sky to fall, you'll see
The emptiness in everything
Unequivocally destined to deny
Wishing you were somewhere else
And there was someone
To whom you could confess
While hailing the hangman to end it all
Chaotic symphonies
Blare out the recurring death of me
Dissembled as the glass erupts to reverberate
Trauma trapped inside a scream
I open my embracive arms
But every beat between, replays a broken heart
With violence for the pain I can not free
And soon I will abandon
The nether sphere of this wretched world
Not to divagate or disappear
But to be where I can't see that I'm alone
Like happenstance gravitates to joy
For me, only bedimming veils were ever shown
And the trail has gone
Where dread drags the day
You'll never find me
As I can bear the light for you no more
The stone is scripted, the sky is set
The ground's been lifted, I am all that's left...
