Poem -
Shiloh
I am the alpha female!
Β Β I guard this family from all.
Smelling my surroundings in detail,
Β Β Finding the enemy! or my ball.
How dare you my fence come near!
Β Β I'll bark until you retreat.
Secretly; I'm the one in fear,
Β Β Do you have a bone or a treat?
It snows white in summer time,
Β Β Because I'm shedding my fur.
I like to play in the sunshine,
Β Β I don't like those things that purr!
Okay! that cat was my friend,
Β Β But I couldn't get near him to play!
He'd climb my fence to ascend,
Β Β Making me lonely all day.
Oh boy! the grand kids are coming!
Β They can't catch me I'm fast!
I love them! they're always running!
Β I found some companions at last!
Β

Oh Jim I just love the second verse here...that is exactly ...dog...lol. I have two, two cats also. In another life I will be rich and collect every stray and scruff in the world!! Love your poem...hugs π

I would say Collies, German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers are my favs, simply because they are so smart and loyal! but since we have had ShilohΒ Pyrenees now are on the list!

A funny story I use to threaten the grand kids if they didn't do what's right I would hang them up by their toes and let Shiloh lick them in the face through the window! They beg me to do it ! they love to get kisses from Shiloh! lol!
Aww lol I bet you have the best times with them altogether. I 'babysit' for my sisters shitzu if she ever goes away and I take my 2 grandkids with me. They are my best times.Β
Your comment made me think of a video I came across on YouTube yesterday of a little girl playing pat a cake with a lion that was behind glass. At first it looks a bit scary but when you see how well they get on together.. Amazing!Β
