Frigid Spring
I have had SNOW the last couple of days
Docile sun
Bleed out your warm rays
Caught in slumber
Release your wonder
From the aching cling
Jack Frost sings
Resenting spring
He braves to tread
Abrasively on my flower bed
Sprinkling crystal notes
He suspends the dew
Those freshy formed petals
A freeze-framed hue
Yet the hint of mother natures touch
Is sensed within his frigid clutch

Hi Gwen! lol yes no wonder the birds and the bees are confused!! April is totally confusing for nature this year!! Brilliant piece. Just love nature writes. They are always so magical and pure. Pxxx

It is definitely a topsy-turvy April this year.

Stunning write Gwen...awakening from winter ♥️💞
Gosh Marion I really hope spring is finally waking up. I don’t want anymore frost or snow thank you 😂
you highlighted my favourite part of this write ❤️ Hugs xx
Gorgeous gorgeous write, love the play with the idea of Jack Frost teasing and refusing to leave us. It has been a crazy april this year! The wildlife doesn't know what's happening ☀❤ great share my talented poetic pen friend
So true! Poor wildlife doesn’t know if it’s coming or going. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this write. I can’t wait to read more of your wonderful work ❤️ Hugs lovely xx
Gwen upon seeing your poem picture thought of Jack Frost and your engaging poem proved me right (for once) and good poems on the subject are so few and far between so rare to find one let alone read a poetic class and such a quality one.
And a real joy to read and see what you have caringly and seamlessly presented.❤️
Great to read and full honours and poetry kudos for gratefully doing so.
