Frozen Promises

Frozen Promises

Land be free, let us live in peace, inspired by man

Frozen in time, in place, no other can know

No one person is to blame, though we have shed shame

On the earth, the caves echo in moaning sorrow

For the promises that were broken, and the tongue not true

Though the shadows ghosts will remain in the valleys

Where the red of the skin, and the blue of the blood run through

The time will come, when the freeze is no more, and the tears

Will pour out over the lands, flooding the earth with its lost passion
