"Glad for The Truth and Life!"

"I woke up this morning,
and there was an instantaneous smile,
that hasn't happened,
in a very long while!

Living out each and every single day,
sober and clean,
I'm finding me out,
and what the truth means,
for I was out of rope to care,
there wasn't even any extra,
for me to spare.

I existed in a self delusional crisis,
using drugs to make the pain go away,
but my problems continued,
to pile up in a very vicious,
and chaotic style,
I wouldn't go an inch,
let alone a mile,
to fix them.

I stayed in such a pitiful state,
filled to the brim,
with self pity and hate,
but now I've given,
it all up to God,
for the truth and honesty,
has set me free,
and My God,
lives and breathes,
inside of me!"
