The Good Hunt

A headstrong, work-class genius
Suffering from the likes of being abundant
Coping a feeling of never being loved
After many run-ins with the law
He only has one chance
To get his act straight
A young boy nearly twenty-one
Seeks help without any ask
The turning point to his demise
Trying to not reach out but
To the friends he calls family
A proud psychology professor from the same
Neck-of-the-woods
In the hunt for the boys problem
For the sense of pushing everyone away
Those who beyond doubt care
As to penetrating the source
The young boy meets a girl
Loving him is all she cared for
Just to have the sense of hearing those words
“I love you too”
Pending from his lips
But, he worth mentioning
“I don’t love you!”
Walking away without her in his life
Not regretting what he pondered
Final call with the professor
The boy realizes his potential
With a final note to his theory
“Sorry, I had to go see about a girl”
Leaving his pass behind
And a new future down the road
