Good Riddance

Many years, wasted tears,
Wondering when you’d come around.
Hidden fears, all disappeared,
When it was you that I found.

Didn’t know, How far you’d go,
When it came to playing my heart.
That’s alright, I’ll be fine,
I should of known from the start.

I won’t lie, I’m never satisfied,
By the mask that sits upon your face.
You don’t wear it well, if you couldn’t tell,
I’m no longer down for the chase.

You make me sad, but I’m so glad,
I was able to turn away from you.
You liked drugs, more than love,
And now all I have left is a bad review.

You were vain, a little insane,
But for some reason I overlooked it all.
You made me weak, my life turned bleak,
On the day I considered theĀ fall.

For a immature boy, that played me like a toy,
But I’m over all the pain and hurt.Ā
The love has gone away, it’s at another place,
Shared with a man who I actually deserve.

He treats me well, if you couldn’t tell,
I’m happier than ever before.
It feels impossible, but its unstoppable,
And it’s because I finally closed the door.

He understands, what it takes to be a man,
And always puts me in a spot that is first.
He knows what he wants, puts it on top,
And makes my heart feel as though it could burst.Ā

I have always been shown through my life that a woman’s role is to fix a broken man. Ā But everyday I used that and turned it around for fuel. Ā Because life should be about self improvement. Ā And if the other person you wanna share life with doesn’t want to improve or grow as a person, then they aren’t worth it in the end. Ā I’ve been broken many of times due to my life’s trauma, but I also don’t let that determine my value and worth. Ā Life is a journey. Ā You have to grow through what you go through. Ā And if someone isn’t willing than I’m not able. Ā So thank you for seeing exactly what I was going for and the high regards I hold myself to. Ā I appreciate having a new follower! Ā Thank you.
