HAIKU * - (naturalistic)

echoes from Eagles
miraculous winter courtship
sojourner's tango

dolphins serenade
dance blue moon's timely tango
sashaying the waves

synchronize swallows
swiftly skim dawn's surface dew
aerial fishtails

the Penguins plunge
in frigid icy waters
delicate divers

peaceful mindfulness
summer pond's fish splash midair
ripples soft moonshine

SENRYU * (humanistic)

besides bad critiques,
a poet's greatest fear is,
a muse wanting cash

poets like Wall Street
seem to hate their ups and downs
when their poem's crash

an innocent child's
voice may be understood when
all screams subside

loves indelible
when child's innocent heart
is humbly welcomed

an innocent tear
trickles down child's charming cheek

Note: Haiku- a short, long, short lines having no more than 17 syllables & nature oriented. Some haiku traditionalists always write haiku's in present tense. Personification is sometimes allowed. Haiku's have a seasonal reference(kigo) and a Satori (aha moment) and can be in the first or last line.
Senryu- a short, long, short lines having no more than 17 syllables & humanly oriented and can use personification. Showing of emotions, and having humor whether it be sarcastic or just funny.
