Lacerations.
Tearing skin.
Smell of warm metal.
Hair pin.

Spot of red.
Scrape and scratch.
Gritted teeth.
Like striking match.

Another rip.
Relief within.
Deep breath.
Hair pin.

Flesh sore.
Patchwork quilt.
Eyes closed.
Wave of guilt.

Cover up. 
Little sin.
My secret medicine.
Hairpin.
