Clumsy Girl

Clumsy Girl

For years she suffered
With her mental health.
“God I’m so clumsy,
I keep hurting myself”

The clever fact,
Was that it wasn’t a lie.
Just the gesture towards
Accidents that she implied.

A trip or fall,
Caught on a gate or a shelf.
“God I’m so clumsy,
I keep hurting myself”

Long sleeves now a must.
Hard when it’s hot.
But she cannot reveal,
The wounds shes now got.

How handy to own a rabbit,
A pet that attacks, without use of stealth.
“God I’m so clumsy,
I keep hurting myself”

Looking back, surely no one believed her,
Even those she did soften.
For how did someone hurt and injure the same area, so very often?

And even today as i stand,
With health, happiness and wealth.
I regularly think of the clumsy girl I was,
Who kept hurting myself.
