Half Moon

Half Moon

Does sorrow know the swift passing of clouds
Over the steel grey of a winter night sky,
And does the glint of the bitter half moon shine
In the same way as did your eyes?

And will this longing remain in my heart,
Will that same sad moon bear witness
To the tears that I sometimes cry?
I long for you and that is all.
