Hindsight.

I have nothing more to give,
As what I had was taken away.
I have nothing left to sing,
As my voice has gone astray.
I have nothing left of faith,
As my prayers have gone unanswered.
I have nothing more of a name,
As mine has been truly slandered.
I have nothing more of a beat,
As my heart can no longer dance.
I have nothing left to cry,
As my eyes have lost their glance.
I have nothing left to speak,
As my lips have lost their breath.
I have nothing left of fears,
As there are no longer threats.
I have nothing left to hear,
As my ears have fallen deaf.
I have nothing more of touch,
As I can’t feel with my flesh.
But What I do have is a memory,
Of what a girl once was,
But even that is fading,
All because I wasn’t cautious.

Hello Lucy...
Hindsight is almost always the best vision because, head on things aren't always the same...
The more we're hurt, the more flags we know...
There's always a brightside...
Sometimes, knowledge comes with a price...
Usually, the heart pays the tab...
Great write!
Thank you for sharing...
Hugs...

Hey Birdie, if knowledge come with a price I’m in billions of debt. Just the same story....xxxx
