Hold Me Tender

Hold Me Tender

Tenderness
is the breath of love filling the air
It softens the hard
breaks the shell and melts the heart.
Hold me tender
Hold me near!
All it takes is a moment
to swell the heart with joy,
all it takes from love is one breath
to fill the air with grace.
Hold me soft, like water
Love me truly, hold me more.

Being Me

And how tender is this poem? Erm, VERY, VERY a lot!  This poem is gorgeous. It is a soft hand on prickly troubles. It is both crocus and daffodil. It is spring itself. And I love it x

And how lovely is this lady called Tina? Very, very, a lot.
“It’s a soft hand on prickly troubles”, and..,…jeez, I love the way you see it. Cheers Tina!

Dear Bernadette,

Your most tender poem takes me directly to Elvis Presley's famous song, and incites me to embellish it with a haiku.

Love me so tender
Love me eternally true
My dear Soulmate you.

Dear Larry,
Thank you so much for the gorgeous haiku.
Ah, the King! The greatest Elvis!
I am glad this poem gave you
tender nostalgia.
Greetings,
Bernadete

A heartbreaking request, as if the lover is either unapproachable or the "I" is in dire need -  we (wife and me) have been there both... So recognizable it almost hurts (btw - for this old 🧓punk no Elvis vibes there, I am sorry to say🤣)

“Unapproachable, in dire need, heartbreaking request”, Wow!
What an interesting way of seeing
this poem. You are making me think, John.
Someone else might see it as a
praise to tender love, and the another just…,..bloody hell, I
just want a hug. That’s the beauty of poetry, isn’t it!
Thank you John!   B

The answer lies in the title itself doesn't it .. such tenderness deserves to be wrapped in a gentle hug & enjoyed to the hilt ..
