Poem -

Holy days

No more tears

No more crying

My hearts still beating

I’m not dying

Though you’re gone

I remain

Time moves slowly

Fades away

The sun comes up

The moon goes down

And this little home

Is still around

Growing old

Is just a game

But as humans

Were forced to play

The lake effect

Is slowly fading

But we will

Stand still bravely

As we sink

Take my hand

Lead me to

Some dry land

Touch the earth

Feel the wind

And always know

I’m still your friend

The distance great

The miles are long

So promise me

You’ll be strong

Another day

Another night

Always there

To help you fight

Another day

Another time

Your still there

You’re still mine
