All these years
I'm kept on the path
By a dream ---

Everyone I meet
Stops the sharp veer off
To the side.

And although there aren't
Any straight lines
You once said

We make it home
To ourselves again,
Eventually.

Hello Rory...

You're a Warrior or Knight type?

Or the slithering kind?

We can always use some of those...

Like little pawns in their chess game...

I am a Triple Checker Jumping lover...

We can play whatever game they choose...

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Hum... A knight I like to think, as in Jedi Knight, if you don't mind me saying. And since you bring up the slithering kind, it's been a long time since I disassociated from my childhood idol, The lizard King, but since you ask for it: slither like a snake through the burning of the day. Find a hole to hide in like a Spider sets a snare.

Thanks for the appreciation sparrow.
